IMPACT

Opera Guild of Rochester, as part of our mission, supports the promotion and presentation of opera in our community. Read on for how our recent financial gifts of support have helped to enrich our area’s cultural offerings.

Since its inception, the Guild of has supported the productions of the Finger Lakes Opera Company, and provided a major grant in 2017 when the company moved from its former home at SUNY Geneseo.

Pegasus Logo

In 2018, the Opera Guild of Rochester provided a grant to Pegasus Early Music, in recognition of their achievement in presenting Dido and Aeneas at the Jewish Community Center and has granted additional  financial support in anticipation of their 2022 summer  production of Orfeo.

KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival logo

In 2021, the Guild was pleased to provide financial assistance to Kerri Lynn Slominski, local soprano, for her presentation of Poulenc's La voix humaine at the KeyBank Rochester Fringe Festival.

The Guild also supported the 2019  Fringe Fest presentation of an updated and digitally interactive version of Menotti’s The Telephone.
